Nikko Park Lodge Mountain Side

The staff were friendly, and could speak quite good English and understand English even better. Very helpful. French Toast was lovely and is the best breakfast here. Heated Toilet seat, free use of shampoo and body wash. Replaced used towels with clean towels each day in your room and bedding made up and bin bag changed each day, without needing to ask them or put signs up on the doors. Very good first accommodation in Japan experience. Perfect location within 6mins walking time or one minute driving time to "The Stables" where you can do standing archery in traditional attire and horseback archery. 5-8min drive into the centre of Nikko, where it is easy to park with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops. Very clean Town, very beautiful views and bridges and buildings. Thank you!!

The vegan dinner, in particular, was delicious and our hosts went out of their way to provide me with Almond milk for breakfast. An act that was much appreciated. The bedroom was comfortable with stunning mountain views. I embraced the unique style and decor of the communal area which was an added bonus: it was great to sit on the sofa and chat to fellow travellers. Our hosts, Suzuki-san and Ken-san, could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. Their warmth, as well as the personal touches, made for a superior stay in Nikko.

The host (Suzuki) and staff members went out of their way to mail back my personal items which I had mistakenly left in the lodge. Am really grateful for that. 🙏🏻 Apart from the location, the lodge is perfect. Lodge was clean, tidy and cozy. The amenities were sufficient for a few days of stay. Nothing to complain about.

The hosts were very kind, very nice to have smiling people to talk with. The atmosphere, the warmth of the hostel alone has already convinced me. I also liked the breakfast the morning (delicious French toast) and the dinners also with a fire which creates a particular ambiance, it's a real chalet in the woods, I love it.

This cozy lodge out in the mountains was everything I had hope for. Ken & Sei were extremely welcoming & treated me like a family member the moment I arrived. The huge lounge area was the perfect place to meet other travelers & share ur stories..I loved how accessible it was to the UNESCO park, The fishing pond, and Kirifuri Falls. Will definitely be back again.
